They highlighted the importance for the country to sustain the implementation of structural reforms, particularly in restoring fiscal discipline, in the context of the broader EU accession process to unlock higher growth prospects. They welcomed the strong policy and funding alignment with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union around budget support operations. They also highlighted the continued need to focus on poverty reduction and gender equality and efforts to address the informal sector in the country.  \nDirectors welcomed the CPF support to promote the transition to more sustainable energy sources, as part of the broader strategy to green the economy of North Macedonia and increase its competitiveness levels.
