their imme-diate supervisor.  \nAll Highway Patrol members re-ceive ethics and legal training at theHighway Patrol Training Academyand undergo in-service instructioneach year to get updates in laws,newPatrol procedures and other trainingas required.  \nSupervisors attend an 11-weekmanagerial training session as a con-dition of promotion to sergeant andthe Patrol partners with N.C.StateUniversity to conduct an Administra-tive Officers Management Programthat is open to any law enforcementofficer in the nation.  \nAs a result of recent incidents in-volving allegations of
