Evaluating the results from statewide testing can be a helpful tool in measuring your student’s success in school. For decades, New Jersey has used statewide assessments as a valuable instrument for assessing our students’ annual progress. \nIncluded with this letter, you will find one report for each content area in which your student tested. The reports illustrate how your student performed on each test. There are also charts and graphics that show you how your student performed in relation to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards available at [nj.gov/education/standards/ and how your](nj.gov/education/standards/ and how your) student’s performance compares to other students in their school, district, and the state. \nYour student’s Individual Student Reports (ISR) are also available in the New Jersey Parent Portal. The online portal includes your student’s scale score, level of performance, and a video explanation of the score report. The video report communicates information from the ISR through animations and a voiceover in English and in the State’s four other most frequently spoken languages by multilingual learners. The portal allows you to track your student’s scores from year to year, beginning with spring 2019. To track your student’s scores, you must use the claim code located on your student’s ISR each year to access them. If you have not previously accessed the online portal, you must first create an account. \nAll resources to help support your student can be found on the New Jersey Assessments Resource Center at [nj.mypearsonsupport.com/ForParent/ under the following headings:](nj.mypearsonsupport.com/ForParent/ under the following headings:) \nParent Resources: \nContent and test information for ELA, mathematics, and science are available under the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment heading. \nReporting Guides & Resources: \nThe Parent Score Interpretation Guide is available in English and in the State’s four other most frequently spoken languages by multilingual learners. \nTest Preparation: \nTutorials demonstrate the navigation and tools available for computer-based assessments. Practice tests for ELA, mathematics, and science are also available and are designed to allow users to view and interact with the sample items in the same way students interacted with them during testing. \nReleased Items: \nThe Digital Item Library provides access to items previously administered on NJSLA ELA, Math, and Science tests. New Meridian Item Library provides access to released items to allow educators, students, parents, and guardians to become familiar with the various items previously administered on the NJSLA ELA and Math tests. \nIf you have any questions, please contact your student’s building administrators. \nSincerely, \nDr. Kathryn Diskin \nSuperintendent of Schools","cbCaiop5uns3eAcx","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiop5uns3eAcx","pdf",461092,"English","# Overview of Spring 2025 NJSLA\n## Tested Content Areas\n## Purpose of Statewide Results\n# Student Reports and Comparisons\n## Individual Student Reports (ISR)\n## Charts and Performance Levels\n# New Jersey Parent Portal Access\n## Scale Scores and Performance Levels\n## Video Explanations and Languages\n# Support Resources for Families\n## Parent Resources by Subject\n## Reporting Guides & Test Preparation\n# Contact and Follow-up","[{\"question\":\"Which subjects were assessed in Spring 2025 through NJSLA?\",\"answer\":\"Students were assessed in English language arts (ELA), mathematics, and science.\"},{\"question\":\"How will families receive information about their student’s test results?\",\"answer\":\"Families receive one report for each content area in which the student tested, and the reports include charts showing performance relative to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.\"},{\"question\":\"How can parents access the Individual Student Report online?\",\"answer\":\"ISR results are available in the New Jersey Parent Portal.
