The NJSLA was administered electronically and aligns with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. \nYour child’s English Language Arts, Math, and Science (for grades 5 & 8 only) NJSLA reports are now available on the Genesis Parent Portal under the “documents” tab. If your child did not take the 2025 NJSLA in Denville, you will not find a report for your student. \nParents/guardians can also access their child’s performance results online by visiting the NJ Parent Portal at [https://nj-results.pearsonaccessnext.com](https://nj-results.pearsonaccessnext.com. Parents/guardians will)[. Parents/guardians will](https://nj-results.pearsonaccessnext.com. Parents/guardians will) create an account and use the code provided on the student’s score report to add the results to their profile. Once parents/guardians create their accounts, they can add codes for additional students and future test administrations. \nThese reports will allow you to review how your child is doing compared to others in their school, district, and atthe state level. Instructions for interpreting the Individual Score Report (ISR) are available on the NJSLA Resource Center website at [http://nj.mypearsonsupport.com/reporting/](http://nj.mypearsonsupport.com/reporting/) . \nTeachers are the experts about what is happening in their classrooms and are an invaluable resource for families. I encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher(s) with any questions you may have about your child’s score report or academic progress. The purpose of the NJSLA exam is to better help you, and our teachers, in supporting your child’s learning. The NJSLA reports provide families and educators more accurate information about where students fall on the path to college and career readiness in order to provide the appropriate support at an earlier age. \nWe are happy to have received the results at the beginning of the school year, so that they may immediately inform our instruction and guide any necessary intervention support. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all students are prepared for success in college, workplace, and beyond. No test provides a complete picture of student performance, and the NJSLA exam results are simply one of many factors that we use to measure progress. We embrace the goal that education must focus on nurturing the whole child, especially in the elementary years. Be sure to recognize your child’s effort not only on this evaluation, but the effort given throughout the year in the pursuit of learning. We continue to value the great teaching, innovation, leadership, commitment, and achievements that make Denville Schools unique. \nThank you for your continued support and commitment to your child’s academic growth and success. \nSincerely, \nSandra L.
