They acknowledged Nigeria’s reform progress since mid-2023 which has yielded improved macroeconomic outcomes and built resilience and encouraged the WBG to sustain momentum. While noting Nigeria’s significant potential, Directors emphasized that poverty remains high and underscored the importance of translating macroeconomic gains into broad-based inclusion and job creation.  \nDirectors welcomed the selectivity of the CPF and the operational architecture tailored to Nigeria’s scale and complexity. They noted the One WBG approach of leveraging IFC and MIGA instruments to crowd in private investment for infrastructure, energy, digital and agribusiness development. They also noted the need for macro-fiscal stability, governance and market reform, which are foundational for private sector-led growth and critical to accelerating Job Creation and poverty reduction.  \nDirectors appreciated the alignment with the refreshed FCV strategy and the CPF's FCV-sensitive design, emphasizing the critical link between job creation, governance, and stability. They also underscored the need to address Nigeria's social protection needs and gender gaps across CPF interventions, including in financial access for women-led businesses, girls' education and schoolto-work transitions, as well as maternal health.  \nDirectors acknowledged the risks highlighted in the CPF, including implementation capacity constraints, macroeconomic vulnerabilities, and ongoing security challenges.
