From theresultant 86 HABS inventory forms,a representative group of 18buildings of historic and architectural significance were selectedfor detailed recording the next year. The buildings were recordedby photographs and written architectural and historical data;measured drawings were made of ten of the most important structures.(Henry Austin designed eight of the buildings;David Hoadley andIthiel Town each designed three).Of these 18 buildings,11 wereselected for this publication as representing a cross section ofstyles, uses, and dates of what remains of New Haven's early archi-tecture,which is largely of the 19th century. \nThe very fine cooperation of Professor Christopher Tunnard,AIA,of Yale University,President of The New Haven Preservation Trust, and the thoughtful assistance and advice of Carrol1 L.V.Meeks,Professor of","cbCaitaWW2JUULh6","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitaWW2JUULh6","pdf",58450634,167,"English","# Introduction\n## Reverend John Woodward House, after 1779\n## First Church of Christ, Congregational (Center Church), 1814\n## John Cook House -- Ballroom, c.1815\n## Timothy Bishop House, 1816\n## John E.
