It is important that we inform you of the new Advanced Placement (AP) program changes made by The College Board for the 2019-20 school year. These changes include:  \n1) New AP digital resources for students, teachers, and coordinators  \n2) Earlier AP test registration and payment  \nStudents enrolled in one or more AP courses during the upcoming school year will need to have their College Board credentials (email, username, and password) before the first day of school in order to complete this digital activation process. The credentials are chosen/generated when you create your College Board account. Please note:  \n● If you do not have a College Board account, you will need to create one before the first day of school. During the first week of school, students will be given a specific AP join code from their AP teacher in order to access all the AP resources and to sign up for AP exams. This process is not registering students to take the actual AP Exam, just the course and the resources available through the College Board.  \nExam registration, ordering, and payment will be moving from the spring to the fall for all AP students across the nation.  \nTo ensure accurate and timely processing of all AP test registrations, registration and payment for taking AP exams in all Hanover County Public Schools is open from October 14, 2019 through November 1, 2019. Each APexam is $94.00 and there are no refunds.  \nThe College Board mandates AP exam dates and times. You need to plan ahead for these test dates when registering for the exam. Please note students must report to the testing location by 7:45 am for morning tests and 11:45am for afternoon tests. The exam schedule is provided on the second page of this letter.
