When cognitive complaints are reported or persist following mild traumatic brain injury in adults, neuropsychological testing can assist with diagnostic issues as well as with treatment and rehabilitation planning. The process typically begins with a clinical interview and then continues with tests that assess function in various cognitive and emotional domains.
