NAEMT members are trained as paramedics (53%), EMTs (38%), and physicians, nurses and other prehospital medical professionals (9%) .  \n• A 15-member elected Board of Directors leads the association. Board members volunteer their time and effort to further the mission of the association. The Board also includes an appointed medical director who is an experienced EMS physician.
