They noted the importance of investing in education to bolster human capital and support the long-run transition of Myanmar out of fragility and the need to focus on the most vulnerable and conflict-affected areas including the Rakhine state.  \nDirectors highlighted the importance of close coordination with other development organizations working in Myanmar. Directors commended the solid risk analysis built into this operation and noted the project’s use of disbursement-linked indicators which generate incentives to keep implementation on track. They also underscored the importance of providing close support to Myanmar’s Ministry of Education to ensure the sustainability of the investment.  \nDirectors acknowledged the challenges related to working in fragile and conflict-affected contextsand hence stressed the importance of ensuring strong supervision and building a robust monitoring and evaluation system, with a focus on inclusiveness and gender, throughout the intervention.
