\nOh no!It's Andrea Young, thatannoying girl in my class with \ncurly brown hair! She calls me by my realname because she knows I don't like it.Who let you in here,Andrea? \nArlo,you know perfectly well whyI'm here. We're supposed to writethis together as a group project for thegifted and talented program. \nShhhh!Don't tell everybody I'min the gifted and talented pro-gram!They'll think I'′m a nerd like you.* \nI am not a nerd,Arlo! \nYou are too! \nR2D2! \nAndrea and I went back and forthlike that for a while. But then theweirdest thing in the history of the worldhappened. An announcement came overthe loudspeaker. \nWell,that's not the weird part, becauseannouncements come over the loudspeakerall the time. The weird part was what hap-pened after that. \nIt was Mrs.Patty, the school secre-tary.She announced,\"AIl classesplease report to the all-purpose room foran assembly.\" \nI don't know why they call it \"theall-purpose room.”You can't useit for all purposes.I mean, you can't gohorseback riding in there. \nWhen we got to the all-purposeroom,our principal,Mr.Klutz, was up on the stage. \nHe has no hair at all.I mean none.Mr.Klutz was with Miss Lazar, theschool custodian. They were bothsoaking wet.Mr.Klutz looked like he was ina bad mood. \nAnd Miss Lazar was holding a toi-let bowl plunger in her hand. \nOh yeah. And everybody was talk-ing,as usual. Not me,of course. \nWe're supposed to be quiet during assem-blies.Mr.Klutz made a peace sign with hisfingers. \nThat means \"shut up.\" \nEverybody stopped talking.Mr.Klutz said he was really disap-pointed with us.Some of the kids—not me,of course—have been breaking the rulesat Ella Mentry School. He said,\"From nowon, the rules of the school are going to bestrictly enforced.\" \nMr.Klutz was really mad.He said,“Things are going to change aroundhere, starting right now.No more Mr.NiceGuy.\" \nThen he pulled out this big scrolland started reading a list of newrules for school. The first one was NO RUN-NING IN THE HALLWAY. \nWell,I guess that makes sense.Whenyou run in the hallway, you couldcrash into somebody.Kids could get hurt. \nThe second one was NO CHEW-ING GUM IN SCHOOL. \nI can live with that. It's kind ofgross when you find old,chewed-up gum stuck all over the place. \nThe next one was NO BASEBALLCAPS. \nI don't understand that one.Whocares what's on top of my head? \nAm I going to learn better if I′m not wear-ing a baseball cap? \nThe list went on and on.NOCONGREGATING IN THE HALL-WAYS.NO UNTIED SHOES. \nNO LOUD VOICES.NO PULLINGHAIR. \nNO CLIMBING THE FENCE.NOPLAYING KEEP AWAY.","cbCaiasRuGJE4cz8","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiasRuGJE4cz8","pdf",2955683,52,"English","# My name is A.J. - and I hate rules\n## Andrea Young and the gifted program group project\n## The all-purpose room assembly\n## The new rules list","[{\"question\":\"Why is A.J. involved in a group project with Andrea?\",\"answer\":\"They are working together as part of a group project for the gifted and talented program.\"},{\"question\":\"Who announces the new rules, and where does it happen?\",\"answer\":\"Principal Mr. Klutz announces the new rules during an assembly in the all-purpose room, announced after classes are told to report there.\"},{\"question\":\"What are some examples of the new rules A.J. hears?\",\"answer\":\"The list includes rules such as no running in the hallway, no chewing gum in school, and no baseball caps, along with many other behavior restrictions.\"}]","My Weird School - A.J.'s Rules for School | PDF",1790706991]
