Project team members and stakeholders are identified and their roles defined. \nSchematic Design \nAlternative schemes are explored for organizing both the interpretive content and physical layout of the exhibits. By the end of Schematic Design, a preferred alternative has been selected and major stories, exhibit elements and presentation techniques are illustrated and described. \nDesign \nDevelopment \nAll major details of the project are accounted for. Design and content are integrated into coherent media presentations. Complex media elements requiring further development are fully described. The exhibit’s physical structure and operational characteristics are established. \nProduction Documents \nTechnical drawings and specifications are completed, communicating details necessary for potential exhibit fabricatorsto understand, price, and begin work on the project. Pre-production planning and design tasks are initiated and coordinated with the exhibit production schedule. \nSubmittals \nShop drawings, proofs, and samples are submitted by the contractor for approval. Regular communication between the contractor and client is critical as details for most exhibit elements must be agreed upon prior to shop fabrication to avoid costly rework later. \nProduction \nExhibit structures are fabricated, graphics are printed and mounted, equipment is purchased, and all elements of the exhibition are integrated in preparation for installation. \nInstallation \nExhibit elements are delivered to the site in as complete a state as possible to minimize the amount of on-site work. Since installations are costly and laborintensive, the contractor must carefully coordinate the sequence of work so that delays are minimized. \nCloseout & Warranty \nImportant media resources acquired to create exhibit elements are archived during the closeout period. New exhibits typically include a one-year contractor’s warranty for defects in materials, and workmanship. \nShop Inspection \nAll work that can be completed off-site is finished and set up in the fabricator’s shop for inspection prior to shipment to the installation sit","cbCaipqcPnrTHMEb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipqcPnrTHMEb","pdf",107556,"English","# Pre-Design\n## Schematic Design\n# Design Development\n## Production Documents\n## Submittals\n# Production\n## Shop Inspection\n# Installation\n# Closeout & Warranty\n# Post-Award Meeting","[{\"question\":\"What does Pre-Design cover in the exhibit process?\",\"answer\":\"Pre-Design builds a solid foundation by structuring the project logically, confirming goals, and defining roles for team members and stakeholders, including pre- and post-contract award phases.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the process handle content and media acquisition (e.g., images and AV)?\",\"answer\":\"Specialized exhibit content can be acquired in different ways; reproducible images and usage rights may be obtained directly or through planning/design contractors, and audiovisual and interactive multimedia programs are often produced via separate contracts.\"},{\"question\":\"What steps ensure smooth installation and minimize delays?\",\"answer\":\"The contractor coordinates the sequence of work carefully because installations are costly and labor-intensive.
