Conversations reveal Margaret’s ties to wealthy relatives and a complicated past involving Mona Kelly, while her job as a chemical engineer becomes a focal point for judgment and misunderstanding. The tense dialogue also frames friendships, local reputations, and the contrast between romantic expectations of elsewhere and the reality of island life, setting a suspenseful tone for the next case.","MURDER AT DREEYM GORRYM POINT A MARGARET AND MONA GHOSTLY COZY \nBOOK IV \nDIANA XARISSA \nOCEANOFPDF. Margaret wondered. \nAshley sighed.“Did you do a lot of hiking when you lived in the US?” she asked Margaret. \n“Not really. I used to like to go to the beach and walk along the sand sometimes, but I didn’t do a lot of hiking through the countryside.” \n“And then you moved to the Isle of Man. I don’t understand why anyone would move here if they could live in the US,” Ashley said. \n“I came to visit my Aunt Fenella and fell in love with the island,”Margaret told her.“It feels like home in a way that I’d never experienced before.” \nAshley laughed. “Or maybe you just realized that your Aunt Fenella was rich enough that you could move here and live off of her money for the rest of your life.” \nTed grabbed Margaret’s hand and gave it a squeeze. Margaret counted to ten before she replied.“Aunt Fenella is quite wealthy, but I earn my own money,” she said, choosing her words carefully. \n“Margaret works hard and far too much,” Ted added. \n“If I were you, I’d just live off of my aunt’s money,” Ashley said.“Why work if you don’t have to?” \n“As I said, Aunt Fenella is wealthy, but I am not. I have to work.” \n“I wonder if your aunt feels weird about the way her aunt made her fortune,” Ashley said.“Fenella inherited Mona Kelly’s fortune and everyone on the island knows where Mona Kelly got her money.” \nMargaret inhaled slowly, counting to twenty this time before she spoke again. \n“Mona and Max had a very unique relationship,” she said eventually. \nAshley laughed.“That’s one way of describing it. Max paid her to look beautiful and sleep with him whenever he wanted her. There are other words for women who sleep with men for money.” \n“Is that a wallaby?” Mark asked, pointing into the distance. \n“I thought the wallabies kept to the Curraghs,” Margaret said as they all looked in the direction he was pointing. \n“They probably do. It was probably just a bird or something,”Mark said.“How are things going at work?” \nMargaret grinned at him.
