It also lends itself well to playing episodic stories similar to Stanger Things, Eerie Indiana, The X-Filesand the like. \nMovie Night is a Role Playing Game (or ‘RPG’) where you take on characters and play-out their adventures. One person runs the game- they are the Gamesmaster- and the rest are the Players. You can play Movie Night with just one Player if you like, or as a group. \nThis game is designed to be a simple system, using only a six-sided dice which should be found in most homes. The main drive for the system is roleplaying and storytelling- you choose your actions and describe them. \nThe system is designed to be easy to understand so kids can play it and a game can be played out in under an hour. \nHOW TO PLAY \nWhen you play a game of Movie Night, you play in an Adventure. Each Adventure is divided up into Scenes, like in a movie. \nAs your Adventure unfolds, you will go up against an adversary or opponent which we will refer toasa Bad Thing. \nYou will encounter this Bad Thing a total of three times during the Adventure. The third and final time is when you get your chance to defeat them once and for all (or fall prey to its’ evil ways!) . When you get more experienced at running a game you can change the number of these encounters: three is just to make sure your story has a start, middle and end. \nOf course, not all of your time will be spent facing this evil. There will be Extra Scenes in which you build up your knowledge, gather your strength and try to sneak around avoiding the attention of teachers and parents. \nIn this game you will play out your Scenes as a Character. This Character is something you will create. As a player, you will be an actor playing the part of your Character in the story. As the story unfolds, you will describe what you want your Character to do and how they act. \nThis Character is something you will come up with before you start your game. Sometimes the Director will have a certain type of Character in mind or there may be certain special limits or \nbonuses based on the particular story. Maybe \nyou are playing in a fantasy land, so you can bean elf with a magic bow? Or maybe all the Characters are members of a school club. You might start with a particular piece of Gear or a Companion which relates to the story. Whatever it is, your Director will tell you before you start making up your Character. \nCome up with a concept foryour Character firstwho are they? What are they called? What do they do? Do they have any hobbies or habits? Any dreams or fears? If there are other players, do they know their Characters? Work with your Director and the rest of your group to come up with an idea. \nIf you are playing in a group it is really important to work out your relationships with the other Characters. Define how you know each other and if you are best friends, competitive or barely know each other. If you come up with a good story, the Director can reward you with a special bonus during the story (this could be a +1 to a roll, a free Try Again or something similar) . \nOnce you have come up with your ideas,","cbCailnAY5zIPpC7","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailnAY5zIPpC7","pdf",237434,"English","# INTRODUCTION\n## HOW TO PLAY\n## RATINGS\n## TYPES\n## RELATIONSHIPS\n## GEAR\n## CONFLICT\n## BAD THINGS\n## COMPANION\n## HELP, EXTRA SCENES AND PROLOGUES\n## SEQUELS, SEASONS AND ADVANCEMENT\n## ADVENTURES\n## ADULT ADVENTURES\n## ALTERNATE WORLDS\n## MOVIE MAKER\n## EXAMPLE ADVENTURE: NIGHT OF THE BEAST\n# APPENDIX A: CHARACTER SHEET\n# APPENDIX B: SHOOTING SCRIPT\n# APPENDIX C: SCENE BOARDS","[{\"question\":\"How is an Adventure structured in Movie Night?\",\"answer\":\"Each Adventure is divided into Scenes, like in a movie.
