manual\n\nThe author learnt his motorcycle mechanics by triel anderror·possibly more by error.In presenting this manual it ishoped that these errors can be avoided by othars,Only bysupervising the work himself,under conditions similar to thosein which the amateur mechanic works,can the author ensurethat the text is a true and concise record of procedure.Thus inthe photogrephs,the hands shown used,as generally anglternative method of removing or replacing a part was possible.Certain spacial tools would simplify work on this unusual (formotorcycles)design.They may be hired by callers at some MotoGuzzi agents.A torque wrench should ba begged or borrowedfor use where torque wrench settings are given.Some car.accessory shops and tool hire companies will often loan one.  \nAlways have
