What a first year it was as principal. Last year was a challenge with the onset of a worldwide pandemic but I was very pleased with the way the staff and students took a challenging situation and made the best ofit. \nThis year will also be a challenge as we continue to battle the pandemic; the difference this year is that we are prepared. We have a plan and are ready to do what we need to do to continue to get our students ready for their futures. Education may not look the same as it has in the past, but it has given us a jumpstart on how we need to change for the future. Last year, we took a two-hundred-year-old educational system and changed it into an online system in two weeks. This year weare ready for both in-person as well as online learning. \nWhen we can safely be in-person at the school, we will continue to offer the vast course offerings that we always have. We will need to modify some of our curriculum this year to make sure that we are able to keep all our students and staff safe. We have been working all summer with our local county health department as well as many local doctors to make sure that we are following the best practices to keep everyone safe. This also applies to our athletics programs as CHSAA had to make some changes to the way things used to be done to make sure that we are as safe as we can. We might like these changes, but it is what we need to do as a school. \nWe will also be prepared just in case we need to move to online learning. Teachers are preparing lessons this year that can be moved seamlessly from in-person instruction to online instruction. There will not be delays in this instruction as we will just continue with the curriculum. Then when we are able, we will move back to in-person instruction and once again continue on preparing our students. \nThis year we will be launching our new M-CHS Graduation Profile. The development of our Graduation Profile was a year long effort last year that included community members, businesses, parents, students, and school staff. It is what we want all graduates of M-CHS to know and be able to do. Look for this new exciting graduation profile this year. \nThe 2020-2021","cbCair0r0GPd1egz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCair0r0GPd1egz","pdf",681860,36,"English","# Helpful Contacts\n# Principal’s Welcome\n# M-CHS Profile of Graduates\n# Academic Program Information\n## Diploma Options\n## Graduation Competency Requirement Options\n## Academic Options\n## Equal Education Opportunity\n## Honors Diploma Program\n## Academic Letters\n## Advanced Placement Classes\n## ASCENT\n## English Language Learners\n## Exceptional Student Services (ESS)\n## Online Courses through CDLS\n## Concurrent Enrollment\n## Foundations/Summer School/Credit Recovery\n## Early Graduation\n## Senior Work Study/Internships\n## Teacher/Student Aides\n# M-CHS Graduation Requirements\n## Honors at Graduation","[{\"question\":\"How can parents and students contact school staff or arrange an appointment?\",\"answer\":\"Staff use an open-door policy and families can call or email to arrange appointments.
