workfrom the dawn of the 20\\#century,containing a variety of contentloosely revolving around the topic ofvampires-indeed,it is anearly example of the semi-differentiation betweensanguinarianism-that is(and especially in an occult orsupernatural context)the drinking of blood,and psychicvampirism as it will be termed today by its proponents anddetractors alike,regarded as astral,not specifically psychic,byEaves in this work.  \nAbout the author I could find absolutely nothing savethat such an individual existed and wrote this work over acentury ago.What is perhaps most notably odd about thisbooklet is that it takes the concept of vampirism seriously,butnot merely in the sense of energies or entities(elemental spirits-in vogue as a topic in the era of its manufacture)but literalvampirism;something which even in the era of Dracula wasconsidered a bit far out.Indeed,Dracula is here mentioned alongwith other poems and stories,which Eaves utilizes to illustratehis basic point although he admits them as fictional.  \nThe work further details shielding oneself from  \nvampirism,mindfulness,and stresses avoidance of seances andhypnotism.  \nThis edition of“Modern Vampirism”has been carefullyedited for format and content.Numerous spelling and grammarerrors were corrected along with sentence structures whichsometimes made no sense.Care has been taken to retain
