created by using double-exposure photography and two cameras.A camera with a 150-mm lens wasused to photograph,from 30 feet,a large black panel on which Christmastree lights had been arranged.The shot was purposely out of focus so thatthe colored lights would appear larger and spherical.The film magazine wasconsequently put into another camera with a 40-mm lens,positioned on thefloor,directed straight up.Above,a small penlight was suspended on a stringfrom the ceiling.During the second exposure of 30 seconds,this light sourcewas allowed to swing freely while various color filters were
