Make a mark on the rail where the end of trolley nearest to the operator stops. \n• Now, manually close the door and mark the rail where the end of the trolley nearest the door stops. \n• With the inner and outer trolley sections still disconnected, activate the operator and adjust the UP and then the DOWN limits (located on the left side panel) until the inner trolley stops on the marks you made. One turn of the limit control equals 2\" (51mm) of travel. \nReconnect the inner and outer trolley sections. Run the operator again to ensure the door is opening and closing correctly. Some minor adjustment of the trolley travel limits may be required to fully open and close the door. Note: The door may be designed not to open to the full horizontal. Adjust the UP limit so the door stops at a slight downward angle when open. \nCanopy Door \nExtension Arm \nCanopy Door Should be Horizontal in Fully Open Position \nUse Limit Adjustment to Level Door Horizontally \nOperator \nFigure 16 \nContinue with the instructions in your Owner's Manual. At the Force Adjustment Section, set the DOWN control to the minimum force required to close the door without nuisance reversals. \n Force controls should be set no more than mid-way. \nIf door does not operate properly without forces set higher than mid-way, review door arm instructions. Also, test the door for smooth and proper operation: \n• Pull the manual release handle to disengage the trolley. \n• Lift the door about halfway. Release the door. It should stay in place, supported entirely by its springs. \n• Raise and lower the door to see if there is any binding or sticking. \nIf your garage door binds, sticks or is out of balance, call for professional garage door service. \nNote: In rare installations, the canopy door may touch the operator rail when closing. This is NOT the fault of the \noperator or arm. If this occurs: \n1. Manually check the operation of the canopy door to ensure that it is closing easily. The door must have a slight drop at the start of closing. \n2. If the door is not running easily, check that the side wires are not catching or binding on the wire guides. Move the guides until the wires run free. \n3. Raise the operator head by about 50mm (2\") above the vertical so there is a slight downward angle on the rail. \n4. The door spring may be overtensioned. \n Do not attempt to adjust the spring.
