Texts describe Munich’s central station as a symbol of freedom and safety for refugees, link stations to meeting and farewell rituals, and frame them as spaces where life unfolds. Other contributors highlight specific stations such as Berlin and Zoologischer Garten, using travel imagery and lived experiences. It‘s not just my favourite station, but this place means a lot to many people. It means freedom, peace and safety for refugees. That‘s the place where they arrive after making a thousand-mile-long journey through Europe. For them, this place means hope. \n@philipp_goetze \nTrain stations mean a lot to me. They are where I met people for the first, saw them for the last time. Where I pickup friends who visit and where I say goodbye to them. Where memories of all sorts hang in the air and it smells like travelling, makes you want to go away right then and there. And when you finally do it, you step into the station with a feeling of excitement about all the new things you‘ll see and feel and shoot, it‘s the best feeling ever. I have always preferred trains over cars, probably because my parents never drove one and whenever I did ride in a car, I got sick. So that‘s not cool. Trains on the other hand will always bring great memories to my mind. And if you go to a station and just sit for a while to watch people (not in a creepy way, just, you know), you‘ll see that a lot of them probably have similar thoughts. Train stations are where life is happening. \n@pureglamtv \nBerlin moments . Always a great photospot in Berlin at deutschebahn .
