life, just as suicide is destroying one'sphysical life.If a person says one minute:“I amJohn Jones”and the next minute,\"I am JamesSmith”,his very denial of an existence he af-firmed makes him forever suspect.A cozn cannotbe a cou and a diamond ring at the same time. \n●But for Communism,a contradiction does notexist. That is why the Communists marchedinto Chinese cities proclaiming:\"Freedom ofReligion\"and then a week later destroyedreligion.A Communist judge asked a missionary“What is truth?”The missionary explained thewords of Our Lord:\"I am the Truth.\"Thejudge answered:“No!Truth is whatever theParty tells us is true.Hence what was trueyesterday was true because the Party told usto say it,but if the Party tells us to deny it,the opposite becomes true for us.\" \n●Catholics therefore must suffer persecutionrather than deny their Faith.Christ is theSon of God and the Church is the prolongationof His Incarnation, even though it means im-prisonment or even death. Our Lord said: \n\"Whoever disowns Me before men, before MyFather in Heaven,I too will disown him....He who is not with Me is against Me.\"Thereis no alternative.Communism is the contradic-tion to Christ as Hell is opposite Heaven.Inother words,we must be intolerant about ourFaith as health is intolerant of disease,as scienceis intolerant of error and inaccuracy. \n●The alternative of Christ and anti-Christ·does not present itself in non-persecuted coun-tries as it does in China, but the alternatives arehidden in our willingness to make sacrifices forthe cause of Christ.MISSION is the publicationof the Pontifical Society for the Propagation ofthe Faith. It aids the furthering of the Churchin pagan lands by putting funds at the serviceof the Holy Father who makes the distribution. If our Faith is keenly alive,we will see that it isChrist Himself who begs because He is in thepoor. When we refuse a sacrifice we do notrejecta leper in India or a child in Korea or the sick \nin that will secure it.He whogives you welcome, gives Me welcome too;andhe who gives Me welcome gives welcome to Himthat sent Me.\"(Matt 10/38-41) \n●Our spiritual life is full of consequences thatcannot
