The Executive Directors discussed the President’s Memorandum and Report (R2026-0118;/1-2, all dated May 22, 2026) and approved the Policy-Based Guarantee in the amount of US$1,200 million to Argentina for the Argentina-Argentina Enabling Private Sector Investment and Growth for Job Creation Development Policy Financing on the terms and conditions set out in the President’s Memorandum.  \nArgentina-Guarantees to Commercial Lenders yet-to-be identified for their Non Shareholder Loan to the Argentine Republic, acting through its Ministry of Economy  \n3. The Board of Directors of MIGA considered the Memorandum from the President and report and approved by special majority pursuant to Article 12(b)(ii) of the MIGA Convention the issuance of the non-honoring guarantees to commercial lenders yet-to-be identified for their non-shareholder loan to Argentina, acting through the Ministry of Economy. The second-loss cover of the MIGA guarantees would complement a first-loss cover under a proposed policybased guarantee from IBRD under a Development Policy Financing to Argentina, and as set out in the President’s Memorandum.
