The Executive Directors discussed the joint IBRD/IDA/IFC/MIGA Country Partnership Framework for Uganda for the period FY26-FY35 (IDA/R2026-0099[IFC/R2026-0114, MIGA/R2026-0046];/1-4, dated April 27, 2026, and May 12, 2026 respectively) .  \nUganda, The Eastern Africa Power Pool-Regional Energy Transmission, Trade & Decarbonization for Eastern Africa (RETRADE-EA) as Phase 1 of the Multi-Phase  \nProgrammatic Approach (MPA)  \n4. The Executive Directors discussed the President’s Memorandum and Recommendation (IDA/R2026-0094;/3, dated April 16, 2026, May 13, 2026, and June 2, 2026) and approved a financing envelope in the amount of US$1,669.60 million for the Regional Energy Transmission, Trade & Decarbonization for Eastern Africa (RETRADE-EA) using the Multi-Phase Programmatic Approach (MPA) . In parallel, as Phase 1 of the MPA, the Executive Directors approved a credit in the amount of US$250 million, of which US$98 million from the Global and Regional Opportunities Window to the Republic of Uganda for the Uganda–Tanzania Interconnector Project (UTIP), and a grant in the amount of SDR 7.3 million (US$10 million equivalent) from the Global and Regional Opportunities Window to the Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP) for the Regional Power Trade and Market Project (RTMP) on the terms and conditions set out in the President’s Memorandum.  \nAdjournment  \n5.
