The first Young Strategists Forum was convened in Japan in 2012 and is held annually with the support of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation. This initiative is part ofGMF’s Asia Program, which pursues the dual goals of developing common U.S.-European approaches to challenges emanating from Asia and building closer U.S.-Europe-Asia partnerships to strengthen the liberal international order at a time when it is increasingly contested.
