Use this document with the Metasys Integrator Technical Bulletin (LIT-6295130) in the Metasys Connectivity Technical Manual (FAN 629.5), which provides information on installing and commissioning Metasys Integrator. For information on vendor equipment, see TSI documentation (obtainable from TSI representative) .
Metasys Integrator allows TSI equipment to become an integral part of the Metasys􀃒 and Metasys Companion􀃔 Networks. Once TSI equipment is connected to a Metasys or Companion Network via the Metasys Integrator, their data is available to the full complement of Metasys Facility Management System (FMS) features, including Change-of-State (COS) monitoring, alarm notification, trend, and totalization.
Each Metasys Integrator vendor port can connect to one RS-232 to RS- 485 converter (for connection to TSI equipment) . Each converter can connect to a maximum of 32 controllers. (With a repeater, the TSI trunk can be extended beyond 32 devices, to a maximum of 250 devices, or beyond 4,000 feet.)
Metasys Integrator supports two TSI applications:
● SUREFLOW™ Face Velocity and Room Pressure Controller
● PRESSURA™ Room Pressure Controller
Figure 1 shows TSI and Metasys integration, and Figure 2 shows TSI and Metasys Companion integration.
intts i1
Figure 1: TSI Controllers and Metasys Integration

| Panel Unit M 3 Workstation |
| --- |
|

PRESSURA
Model
8630 |
| N2 Bus
Note: A PC version and converter may be substituted for the Panel unit. |

tsicom p
Figure 2: TSI Controllers and Metasys Companion Integration
Component Requirements
To integrate TSI controllers, you’ll need the following components:
● properly installed TSI controllers
● Metasys Integrator
● RS-232 to RS-485 converter (MM-CVT101-X)
● RS-232 cable (for connecting the converter to Metasys Integrator)
● RS-485 cable (for connecting the converter to the controllers)
● N2 Bus (for connecting Metasys Integrator to the Metasys or Companion Network)
● portable PC for downloading vendor communication tables (.VCT files) and network setup information, and for running diagnostics
● cable for connecting portable PC to Metasys Integrator
● the correct vendor communication table (.VCT file) to download into Metasys Integrator (supplied on diskette)
This document describes the RS-232 cable and the vendor communication tables. TSI documentation describes their equipment.
