This places an impressive 14% of our cohort within the State's top 1%, continuing our School’s legacy of academic excellence. \nAcademic success is not incidental. Throughout this year, and in years past, the Class of 2023 has demonstrated a consistent pursuit of excellence marked by their collective diligence and dedication to their studies. \nWe recognise and value all students who have been steadfast in their learning, and who have attained their own personal best ATAR. \nIn addition, this cohort has achieved success on the stage, the rostrum, the sporting field and more. We offera holistic education at Melbourne Grammar, and the Class of 2023 has seized upon the opportunities available to them with enthusiasm, energy, and excitement. \nYet, it may be their sense of community for which the Class of 2023 will most be remembered. Their commitment to making a positive impact on the culture of the School has been exemplary. The care and consideration they have shown for others, grounded in values of respect, empathy, and responsibility, have left an indelible mark. \nI would also like to pay tribute to the exceptional teachers who have guided each student’s learning throughout their time at the School albeit during their early years at Grimwade House through to this pivotal year. Melbourne Grammar is fortunate to have an outstanding group of teaching and professional staff whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in realising the excellent 2023 VCE results. \nOf course, there are many measures of success, and an ATAR is only oneof them. The truly wise know that life is more than a score on a piece of paper and ultimately an individual’s values, work ethic and quality of their relationships will be far greater determinants of their future achievements and happiness. \nIt has been an absolute delight to accompany this remarkable group of students during our shared journey at Melbourne Grammar. I know they will take the lessons they have learnt at the School and go on to have a positive impact on the world around them. \nI extend my heartfelt best wishes to the Class of 2023 for success in all their future endeavours. \nPhilip Grutzner Headmaster \n\\#beyondtheclassroom \nHear from our students, past and present, about their interests and aspirations. \n[bit.ly/MGSbeyondtheclassroom](bit.ly/MGSbeyondtheclassroom) \nView the playlist \nMelbourne Grammar School 355 St Kilda Road Melbourne Victoria 3004 \n+61 3 9865 7555 [mgs@mgs.vic.edu.au](mgs@mgs.vic.edu.au) \n[mgs.vic.edu.au](mgs.vic.edu.au) \n2023 VCE \nresults highlights \nATAR OUTCOMES \n197 Melbourne Grammar School Year 12 students attained the VCEin 2023. \n99.95 \nThree students achieved an ATAR of 99.95.
