I’ve been in my current role since the first teaching of the current Specification in 2015. Since then I have enjoyed supporting all our teachers with additional specimen and mock papers, teaching and learning materials, training and an enhanced PD programme. Before joining the English team I worked in a number of different roles in Pearson. \nPlease get in touch to find out more about the support we can offer you! \nHello. I am Katy and I am the Head of English, Drama and Languages at Pearson. I am in my tenth year of working in the English team, so I have seen a lot of changes in GCSE and A level English over that time! My background is in English Language and linguistics and before working at Pearson I taught English for 4 years in the UK and overseas, and worked for the Learning and Skills Development Agency. My aim is that we create qualifications that are engaging, clear and accessible, and then give you all of the support you need to teach them successfully. \nThank you for taking a look at our English qualifications-let us know if we can help! \nHi I’m Catherine, National Manager for Pearson Edexcel English. I have been with Pearson in a number of roles for ten years and taught English and Drama for unmentionable years before that, including time with what was then the Advisory Service. It has been invaluable to have had the opportunity to understand the world of qualifications and support from the teachers’ perspective as well as Pearson’s so I know we are designing and delivering great specifications and support that is unrivalled! Please get in touch to learn more! \nSam Prince \nEva McManamon \nPam McLoughlin \nHello, I’m Sam, I’ve recently moved into the English team from Qualification Development where I was for five years developing GCE English among other quals. I work across GCE and GCSE English at the moment, with a little bit of drama thrown in for extra variety. Before that I was an English teacher for 4 and a bit years, and have also worked at OCR and developed optional English tests. \nI do the odd bit of writing. I’ve just completed a playwriting course and written a one act play and am trying to find the time to edit the two books I’ve written. My favourite book (and film) is A Room With a View. I like working to help teachers improve the delivery of our qualificationsand am always happy to help. \nHello, I’m Eva, and I’ve worked in the English team for 4 years and look after the three GCE Englishes. Before that I worked in the English assessment team in Pearson Edexcel from 2012, and before that I was a Secondary School English teacher in Essex for 7 years, teaching across KS3, 4 and 5. When I’m not a slave to my 3 year old’s social life, I love to visit the theatre and attempting to grow things in my garden. It’s too difficult to choose one favourite novel, but if they make me cry I know the writer has done well, so Steinbeck’s ‘The Grapes of Wrath’ and Markus Zusak’s ‘The Book Thief’ receive that accolade. \nHello, I’m Pam and I’ve recently joined the English team at Pearson. Prior to this I was an English teacher (in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire) for fourteen years. Having had experience as a Curriculum Leader Iam now really enjoying supporting English departments teaching the Pearson Edexcel specifications. \nOn a personal note, I love reading, travelling and ‘attempting’ to stay healthy through regular exercise. \nB0134 © Mark Bo l itho / Naki Kouyioumtzis \nHello, I’m Lilly and I lead on the Marketing for all of the Pearson Edexcel UK English qualifications and Pearson English resources. I joined Pearson in 2018 and, having completed a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, I’ve always had a strong interest in both reading and writing. \nI attribute my love for English in part to my fantastic teachers throughout my school education, ","cbCair1SrhgY0eJh","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCair1SrhgY0eJh","pdf",8601043,"English","# Meet your English Team\n## Team introductions and roles\n## Support for teachers and qualifications\n## Contact and social channels","[{\"question\":\"Who are the members of the Pearson Edexcel English team introduced in the document?\",\"answer\":\"The document introduces Liz Slade, Katy Lewis, Catherine Mortimer-Ford, Sam Prince, Eva McManamon, Pam McLoughlin, Lilly (Lilly Farres), and Sam Bull.\"},{\"question\":\"What kind of support does the team offer to teachers?\",\"answer\":\"They support teachers with specimen and mock papers, teaching and learning materials, training and enhanced professional development, and help with exam-related queries.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the document’s primary purpose?\",\"answer\":\"It presents the English qualification team’s roles and experience and encourages readers to get in touch to learn more about the support available for Pearson Edexcel English qualifications.\"}]","Meet your English Team | PDF",1792462412]
