The 2 days meeting is currently taking place in Zambia , Lusaka from 12- 13 September 2023.  \nThe purpose of the meeting is to discuss matters arising from the previous board meeting and new matters. The meeting will also commence with preparations for the upcoming AFTRA 11th Conference and 13th Roundtable to be hosted by Zambia next year 2024. The meeting is attended by at least 8 African member states and 30 international representatives.  \nIn attendance to the meeting are the following AFTRA Executive Members - On Behalf of SACE, Mr L Cele (Council Chairperson), Ms E Mokgalane (CEO) , Ms BMbatha (Council Member) and Mr RM Nkuna ( Communications Manager ) and representative from Department of Education Mr AE Dhladhla (Directorate Teacher Development and Ms L Maje (Directorate Teacher Development) . The special guest to the meeting is the Education Minister of Zambia, Hon.
