The material moves through key teachings on divorce, receiving children, eternal life, entering God’s kingdom, and how believers should respond when blessings and persecutions come together. It also prompts reflection on prayer, authority, the fig tree, and the parable of the tenants.","Mark 10-13 Looking Towards the Cross \nEnglish Spiritual \nMark 10-13 \nLooking Towards the Cross \nBy: Marlene Custer Illustrations: International Art of Reading 3.0 \nEnglish \nUSA \nScripture taken from the Holy Bible, NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION. Perea was on the east side of the Jordan River. As usual, crowds of people came to Him. It did not take long for the Pharisees to find Jesus as well. They wanted to test Him. \n1. What did the Pharisees ask? They knew the Law of Moses well. \n2. What did Jesus say about God's plan from the beginning of creation? \n3. Later, the disciples asked Jesus again about divorce. What did Jesus say? \n4. How can a Believer guard his/her marriage? \n5. What were people doing in verse 13? What did the disciples do? How did Jesus feel about this? \n6. What did Jesus say about children? What did He do in verse 16? \n7. What can we learn from these verses? Read or listen to Mark10:17-34 \n1. A young man came to Jesus looking for eternal life. What did Jesus say to him? \n2. The young man said he had kept all the commandments since childhood. What did Jesus say he lacked? \n3. What was the young man's reaction? Why? \n4. According to Jesus, how hard is it to enter into the kingdom of God? \n5. Peter reminded Jesus that they had left everything to follow Him. What did Jesus answer? \n6. Have you found Jesus' words to be true? \nWe don't like to think about the persecutions \nthat will come along with the blessings. But nothing compares to the blessings of \n7. In verse 32, Jesus leads His disciples to Jerusalem. How did the disciples and other followers feel? \n8. What did Jesus say was going to happen? Do you think His followers understood? What do you think you would have thought? \nRead or listen to Mark 10:35-52 \n1. What did James and John want Jesus to do? \n2. What did Jesus answer? \n3. How did the rest of the disciples feel about this? \n4. According to Jesus, how does one become great? How does one become first? \n5. Who sat by the roadside as Jesus and His followers left Jericho? What did he want? \n6. What did Jesus ask the blind man? What happened then? \n7. Imagine that you are in Jesus' presence. What would you ask Jesus for? \nRead or listen to Mark 11:1-25 \n1. As they neared Jerusalem at the Mount of Olives, what did Jesus do? \n2. What did the two disciples find? What happened when they brought the colt back to Jesus? (The Messianic prophesy of Zechariah 9:9 was now fulfilled.) \n3. Jesus entered Jerusalem and went where? What do you think Jesus was thinking as He looked around? \n4. These verses begin the week that will end with the death of Jesus. What was the problem with the fig tree? \nAlthough it was not the season for figs, it isnot unusual for a fig tree to bear an early crop of figs. Having no early fruit may have been an indication that there would be no fruit later. The tree was probably referring to God's judgment on Israel. \n5. What did Jesus say to the fig tree? \n6. What happened when Jesus got to the Temple? Why? \n7. What did the chief priests and teachers do? Why? \n8. The next day when the disciples saw the fig \ntree, what did they notice? What did Jesus say? \n9. What does Jesus say about prayer? What if you are having a feud with someone, what should you do? \nAlso, remember that when we pray and ask God for something, it m","cbCaifBD7CykrOe1","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaifBD7CykrOe1","pdf",791238,1,17,"English","en",105,"# Mark 10:1-16\n## Pharisees’ questions, marriage, and children\n## Mark 10:17-34 - eternal life and the kingdom\n## Mark 10:32 - journey toward Jerusalem\n# Mark 10:35-52\n## James and John, greatness, and the blind man\n# Mark 11:1-25\n## Palm entry, fig tree, and prayer\n# Mark 11:27-33\n## Jesus’ authority and the questioners’ response\n# Mark 12:1-17\n## The parable of the tenants","[{\"question\":\"What did the Pharisees ask Jesus in Mark 10:1-16?\",\"answer\":\"They wanted to test Him by asking what God’s Law allows, and then they challenged His teaching.
