Core Component \n2. Occupational Specialism \nThe Core Component is made up of two sub-components, which have assessments that are aggregated together to form the Core Component grade: \n1. Core Exam (this sub-component consists of two exams) \n2. Employer Set Project \nThe scenarios below are dependent on a timely application for Special Consideration. \nScenario 1: \nIf a student has missed a whole sub-component of the Core Component [i.e. both Core Exams or the ESP] and they have legitimate reasons that are eligible for special consideration, they must take the missed sub-component in a future series before they complete their study programme and certificate. \nIf the student does not take the missed assessment in a future series, they will not get an estimated result. \nIf the student intends to take the missed assessment in their final assessment opportunity, but again misses the whole sub-component and are eligible for special consideration, they will be issued with an estimated result. \nStudent example \nStudentA commenced their T Level in September 2021 and is undertaking both Core Exams and the ESP in the Summer 2022 series. They complete the ESP but are sick for both Core Exams. \nStudent A is expected to sit both Core Exams in a future series before they complete their study programme and certificate [i.e. Autumn 2022 and/or Summer 2023] . \nIf Student A does not attempt both Core Exams in a future series, they will receive an X No Result. \nIf Student A intends to take both Core Exams in their final assessment opportunity [i.e. Summer 2023] and valid special considerations are applied, they will receive an estimated result. \nScenario 2: \nIf a student has missed a whole sub-component of the Core Component [i.e. both Core Exams or the ESP] and they do not have legitimate reasons and are therefore not eligible for Special Considerations they must take the missed sub-component in a future series before they complete their study programme and certificate. \nIf they do not attempt the missed assessment in a future series, they will receive no result for the missed sub-component as special consideration will not be applied. \nIt should be noted Pearson may contact the Provider in such instances to clarify the reasons for absence and confirm entry requirements. \nScenario 3: \nIf a student has missed an assessment within a sub-componentof the Core Component[i.e. one of the Core Exams or a controlled task from the ESP] and they have legitimate reasons that are eligible for special consideration they will receive an estimated mark for the missed assessment. \nScenario 4: \nIf a student has missed an assessment within a sub-componentof the Core Component[i.e. one of the Core Exams or a controlled task from the ESP] and they do not have legitimate reasons and are therefore not eligible for special consideration; they will have to re-sit the whole sub-component in a future series. \n‘T-LEVELS’ is a registered trade mark of the Department for Education. \n‘T Level’ is a registered trade mark of the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. \nThe T Level Technical Qualification is a qualification approved and managed by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. \n‘Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education’ and logo are registered trade marks of the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. \nPearson Education Limited is authorised by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education to develop and deliver this Technical Qualification. \nPearson and logo are registered trade ma","cbCaiqAg0CdDlBzw","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqAg0CdDlBzw","pdf",154444,"English","# Core Component structure\n## Core Exam and Employer Set Project\n# Scenario-based absence handling\n## Missing an entire sub-component (eligible)\n## Missing an entire sub-component (ineligible)\n## Missing part of a sub-component (eligible)\n## Missing part of a sub-component (ineligible)","[{\"question\":\"What does the Core Component of a T Level Technical Qualification include?\",\"answer\":\"The Core Component consists of two sub-components: the Core Exam (two exams) and the Employer Set Project (ESP).
