The guidance emphasizes proper dental hygiene—brushing at least twice daily for two minutes, following with flossing to remove plaque and food between teeth, and cleaning the tongue to reduce lingering foul-smelling bacteria. It also recommends mouthwash with antiseptics and practical, temporary options like mint to freshen breath on short notice.","English \nMake Your Breath Fresh \nThis article was co-authored by Tu Anh Vu, DMD. The good news is that there are several ways to make sure that your breath is fresh. \n It all starts with proper dental hygiene. \n You can also use temporary measures to freshen your breath in a hurry. \n In some cases, it can even be as simple as knowing what bad-breath-triggers to avoid. \n1 \nThe easiest way to get fresh breath is to brush your teeth. That will remove any bacteria that may be in your mouth, as well as any food that's trapped in your teeth. You should brush at least twice a day. When you brush your teeth, do it for at least two minutes to ensure that 2 ur teeth and mouth are fully clean \nAfter brushing your teeth, it's a good idea to follow up with some floss. Food, bacteria, and plaque can become trapped between your teeth, and flossing removes them so your breath stays fresh. Floss at least twice a day. \nIf you feel the need to floss and don't have any on hand, you can use a toothpick to remove food from between your teeth. \n3 \nEven if you brush and floss your teeth, foul-smelling bacteria can still linger on your tongue. You can use a tongue scraper to remove it or give your tongue a quick scrub with your toothbrush to make sure that your breath stays fresh. \nYou can find tongue scrapers or cleaners in the same aisle at the drugstore that you find toothbrushes. \n4 \nWhen you are done brushing and flossing your teeth, it is a good idea to use mouthwash. It contains antiseptics that help remove bacteria that might cause bad breath and typically has a flavor or scent that sweetens your breath. Swish a small amount of the wash around in your mouth for at least 30 seconds and spit it out in the sink. \n5 \nIf you need fresh breath in a hurry, eating mint is the go-to solution. Any breath mint can temporarily freshen your breath after you've hada meal or drink, so choose your favorite and chew or suck on it to freshen your breath. You can also eat fresh mint leaves if you have them in 6 ur garden","cbCaiu2Pe83DvG87","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiu2Pe83DvG87","pdf",1271404,3,1,19,"English","en",105,"# Oral hygiene routine\n## Brushing teeth\n## Flossing\n## Cleaning the tongue\n## Using mouthwash\n# Quick ways to freshen breath\n## Eating mint","[{\"question\":\"How can brushing help freshen breath?\",\"answer\":\"Brushing removes bacteria and trapped food in the mouth.
