This document covers the undergraduate components and requirements of the Lyon Dental 3 + 3 program.  \nStudents can choose any major, but Biology or Chemistry are recommended as these align with dental school requirements. Both Arkansas residents and out-of-state students are eligible to apply.  \nAdmission to Lyon Dental 3 + 3 is highly competitive. Applications are due on May 31st ofa student's first year at Lyon College.  \nThe Lyon Dental 3 + 3 program seeks to admit a diverse student population with demonstrated academic capabilities, a wide array of life experiences, and a commitment to oral health and dental medicine. Students who meet stringent acceptance criteria and maintain academic eligibility will earn pre-approved acceptance to the LCSDM program.  \nProspective applicants are encouraged to explore the Lyon Dental 3 + 3 program and the dental profession thoroughly before applying. The Lyon Dental 4 + 3 program may be a better fit for students who cannot complete major or pre-dental requirements in three years or wish to utilize full athletic eligibility or experience four full years of college life. For others, applying to LCSDM through the general application cycle may be more appropriate.  \nInitial eligibility Requirements:  \n• Proficiency in College English (ENG 001), Intermediate Algebra (MTH 001), College Algebra (MTH 101), and placement into General Chemistry I (CHM 110) prior to matriculation at Lyon College.  \n• A composite ACT score (or superscore) of 25 or higher (or SAT of 1210 Total, or Accuplacer 250+ Writing, 237+ Reading, and 237+ Advanced Algebra and Functions) . Transfer credit for MTH 101 and Introduction to Chemistry (CHM 105) will also be accepted.
