afew more years before they could transform into their finalform.Contrary to the way we were portrayed in-movies,most werewolves could actually shift into two differentforms.In the first and easier form,we appeared like normalwolves and walked on four legs,except we’re about threetimes larger than your average wolf.In our final form,ourpure werewolf form,we shifted to wolf appearance butwalked upright on two legs  \nWe don't shift to our pure werewolf form often because itwould be better for a human to accidentally see an over-grown wolf than a hairy wolf-like creature on two legs.  \nAs I stepped forward,my paw print sank into the earth.Ikept my head close to the ground as I tracked the scent of myquarry.I looked over at my dad,his dusty brown coat lighterthan mine.  \nHe snorted and shook his head.  \nI stopped walking and called on The Change.I sank my  \nfront claws into the earth and winced as my bones snappedand realigned into my final form.Since we were huntingdeep in the forest,the chances of running into a human herewere slim.  \nI rose to my feet in my pure werewolf form,my long armshanging at my sides.Shifting to our final form put a mentalstrain on the human part of our minds.Fighting in this formmight leave a wolf more at risk,if they weren't one with thechange.It took years to master,and not all wolves couldachieve it.Once mastered,shifting into one's final form wasmore freeing than turning into our wolves.  \nSpreading my arms wide,I closed my eyes to take amoment to enjoy it.This final form was the form that madeus real werewolves.  \nI turned to follow the scent again,leaving my dad behindas he changed as well.The further I walked,the stronger thesmell became.My head snapped to the side,my ears twitch-ing,and I turned left.  \nCloser...I was getting closer.  \nEven with my massive body,I moved silently through theunderbrush.When I finally caught up to my target,Icrouched low,the claws on my feet sinking into the earth,asI prepared to strike.  \nMy prey looked up warily while sensing my presence,asher innocent eyes cautiously studied the forest around her.  \nI concealed myself in the dark shadow of a large tree  \nBefore she could meander away,I attacked,rushingforward rapidly to sink my claws into her massive body.Mycanine fangs sank deeply into flesh,the taste of blood coatingmy lips as I snapped the doe's neck with ease.  \nI sat back,blood dripping from my claws as I removed  \nthem from the now dead deer.I stared down at the animal,her lifeless brown eyes still open.I remembered the look ofraw fear in her eyes as I had attacked.Being a werewolfcould sometimes be a taxing fight between the human andthe wolf.It was easier for me to kill a supernatural that hadbeen hurting others rather than an innocent animal like thisdoe.Something bothered me about hunting like this—notthat I'd ever tell anyone.All wolves must learn to hunt,butkilling was something I'd never enjoyed.The animals lookedat us the same way a human would,with fear and confusionabout what we were.Whether they were animals or humans,to our prey,we looked like twisted,horrible versions of thewolves they knew.  \nI guess some humans might be able to
