It outlines key route options such as university, degree apprenticeships, and direct work or training, and introduces supportive reflection tools like a personality quiz and notes section. It also covers essential factors tied to A-level results, including checking entry and apprenticeship requirements and responding to grade outcomes through the right channels.","KNOW BEFORE \nYOU GO \nYEAR 1 3 \nA guide to support your decisions and transition after sixth-form/college \nBrought to you by \nMY NOTES. . . \nINS IDE THE GU IDE \n01 Your Next Step: The Options \n\n| 03 | Next Step: University |\n| --- | --- |\n| 07 | Next Step: Work or Apprenticeships |\n| 15 | Skills for Life |\n\n14 Wellbeing Support \nYOUR NEXT STEP: THE OPTIONS \nIf you're reading this, congratulations: you have survived college, made some (hopefully) awesome memories, but most of all -you are DONE! School is out! No more learning! It's lit! \nIt can be tricky to decide where you should go after you have finished studying. Pressure from parents or carers, mates, and society in general can make the whole thing confusing. There are also several options to choose from. Do you want to continue studying at university or undertake a degree apprenticeship? Ordo you want to start working and / or training straight away! \nWhat is certain, though, is that deciding what you want to do next is an extremely personal thing. This is YOUR life-no one else's. So, what do you want out of it? \nWARNING TO READER: This booklet will tell you all you need to know about the different routes you can take, what to expect in them, and where you can go afterwards. It will not magic up your life's purpose for you-that's something you need to work on yourself, through living. Hopefully, though, it will give you the tools you need in order to get there. \nFirst thing's first: Who Are You? \nThink about what motivates you. What do you enjoy, both in school and out? Why is that? What does that say about you. \nExample: You enjoy learning and have a subject you're interested in but find you get bored and loose interest when only writing essays and learning in a classroom. \nIf either of these are you, you probably won't enjoy studying for a degree, but maybe a degree apprenticeship would be more suited, so you can study and also learn through working to keep it varied and interesting! \nStill stuck? Take this personality quiz \n1 \nA LEVEL RESULTS DAY: DECODED \n3 \nA-Levels are what you need to study at university or undertake a degree apprenticeship. Some apprenticeships may also require you to have A-Levels. It's best to search for an apprenticeship here and check the individual requirements as most differ. \nDid you do better than you expected? Did you miss your first and second choice but still want to head to university with the grades you recieved: \nDidn't get the grades you wanted? Do you want toretake if appeal your grades?
