Key electrical characteristics include low supply-current drain independent of supply magnitude, input behavior compatible with sensing near ground, and low input bias/offset parameters. The device family supports differential input ranges tied to rated supply voltage and includes open-loop differential gain typical values. Applications target transducer amplification, DC gain blocks, and standard single-supply operational amplifier circuits, with temperature-grade variants for different environments.",{"@graph":14,"@context":72},[15,34,55],{"@type":16,"itemListElement":17},"BreadcrumbList",[18,23,27,31],{"item":19,"name":20,"@type":21,"position":22},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",1,{"item":24,"name":25,"@type":21,"position":26},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":28,"name":29,"@type":21,"position":30},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/technology/","Technology",3,{"item":32,"name":10,"@type":21,"position":33},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/lm358-dual-operational-amplifiers/671554/",4,{"url":32,"name":10,"@type":35,"image":36,"author":41,"headline":10,"publisher":44,"fileFormat":47,"inLanguage":8,"description":12,"dateModified":48,"datePublished":49,"encodingFormat":47,"isAccessibleForFree":50,"interactionStatistic":51},"DigitalDocument",{"url":37,"@type":38,"width":39,"height":40},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/lm358-dual-operational-amplifiers/671554.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":42,"@type":43},"Lucas Operation from split supplies also is possible if the difference between the two supplies is 3 V to 30 V (3 V to 26 V for the LM2904 and LM2904Q), and V CC is at least 1.5 V more positive than the input common-mode voltage. The low supply-current drain is independent of the magnitude of the supply voltage. \nApplications include transducer amplifiers, dc amplification blocks, and all the conventional operational amplifier circuits that now can be more easily implemented in single-supply-voltage systems. For example, these devices can be operated directly from the standard 5-V supply used in digital systems and easily provides the required interface electronics without additional ±5-V supplies. \nThe LM2904Q is manufactured to demanding automotive requirements. \nThe LM158 and LM158A are characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of –55°C to 125°C. The LM258 and LM258A are characterized for operation from –25°C to 85°C, the LM358 and LM358A from 0°C to 70°C, and the LM2904 and LM2904Q from –40°C to 125°C. \nlogic diagram (each amplifier) \nPlease be aware that an important notice concerning availability, standard warranty, and use in critical applications of Texas Instruments semiconductor products and disclaimers thereto appears at the end of this data sheet. \nPRODUCTION DATA information is current as of publication date.
