It teaches why believers do not worship other people, other gods, or spirits, grounding the message in Bible passages and Jesus’ example. The text shows how Jesus learned and practiced God’s Word through listening, asking questions, reading aloud, memorizing Scripture, and using it to teach others. By treating Scripture with careful study and sharing it, worship becomes practical daily faith.","Literacy International: How We Worship God \nCopyright © 2018 Literacy International [info@LiteracyInternational.net](info@LiteracyInternational.net) \nEnglish Spiritual \nLiteracy International: How We Worship God \nCopyright © 2018 Literacy International [info@LiteracyInternational.net](info@LiteracyInternational.net) \nEnglish \nCopyright © 2018, Literacy International \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work. Though we may honor and respect them, we do not worship other people. \nWorship is that great respect we give to God because of who he is, the Creator of us all. We are created by him. Neither do we worship other gods or spirits, because God has forbidden that. Jesus has told us (Matthew 4:10),“Worship the Lord, your God, and serve him only.” \nIn one of the songs in God’s Word (Psalm 95:6), God’s people would sing,“Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker, for he is our God, and we are the people of his pastures, the flock under his care.” \nFor those of us who know God as Savior and Lord it is a pleasure to worship him. We are glad that we belong to him and that he takes care of us. \nHow do we learn to worship? We can learn to worship from Jesus, God’s Son. The angels and the wise men came to worship Jesus when he was born because he is the same as God. \nWhen the Lord Jesus came down from heaven and became a man, he was like us so that he could serve us and show us how to live in the right way. From the beginning, as a child, he heard the sounds of praise and thanksgiving to God from the lips of Joseph and Mary, the parents who raised him. The baby Jesus was only eight days old when they took him to God’s house to worship God and thank him for the gift of this wonderful child. They gave Jesus back to God for his service. \nAs a result God answered their prayers for Jesus, and“the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.”(Luke 2:40) Everyone spoke well of this growing child and youth, for they could see that he loved God and obeyed God in every way. Jesus was being an example for them to follow and for us to follow. \nWE LEARN GOD’S WORD AS JESUS DID . \nTo love to hear and read and think about God’s Word is one way to worship, as well as obeying God’s Word. This is what Jesus did. When he was twelve years old, he went with Joseph and Mary up to the great festival of worship of God in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus stayed on in God’s house for several days, listening, asking questions, and giving answers about God’s Word to the teachers in that place (Luke 2:41-52) . \nWhen his parents finally found him, he simply told them,“You should have known where I would be. My main interest is in doing my heavenly Father’s business-that is, God’s business.” They knew he was right, and he was not trying to be impolite. He always respected his parents and obeyed them. \nJesus had learned God’s Word by listening and learning to read it for himself. He had gained understanding of God’s Word by asking questions and also by thinking and answering questions of others. \nHe memorized God’s Word and found it useful in speaking to others.“It is written in God’s Word,” he would tell them. Sometimes we tell others,“The Bible says . .” and then tell them a Bible verse we have learned. But it is because it is God’s Bible, God’s Word to us, that it is true and helpful. \nEvery week Jesus studied the Bible in a meeting place in his home town, and when he was in other towns he would visit the meeting places there. One day when he was in a town n","cbCainJCYR4Tv6sg","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainJCYR4Tv6sg","pdf",389092,1,31,"English","en",105,"# Worship as Respect for God\n## Worship God, Not Others\n## Learning to Worship from Jesus\n## Studying and Sharing God’s Word","[{\"question\":\"What does worship mean according to the text?\",\"answer\":\"Worship is the way people think, speak, and act before God.
