No one could ever see all of Him.  \nThere is no end to God’s power. He made everything there is, and He is the King over all kings. He rules the wind, the sun and the earth. He is everywhere and He knows everything.  \nBut God is also our friend. He comes close to us. We can share our lives with Him. He wants us to share our lives with Him. He wants us to be His friends.  \nYou can’t see God. You can’t see the wind, either. But you can feel both of them when they move.  \nGod wants us to talk with Him and ask Him for the things we need. Talking with God is called PRAYER.  \nHow does God want us to pray? The Bible tells us how.  \nFirst, when we pray, we should worship God. The best prayer starts with praise. Jesus showed us that when He taught “The Lord’s Prayer”(Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4) . He told us to say,“Our Father in Heaven.” We start by remembering that God is in heaven, the place where angels are always praising Him. He is more beautiful than anything we’ve ever seen.  \nWe remember that He is holy. We pray that people on earth will keep His name holy. We tell Him that we want everyone on earth to praise Him and to do His will.  \nIt’s good to begin our prayer time praising and worshiping God. And all the time we’re praying we should be worshiping Him. We keep humble.  \nSecondly, when we pray we need to be wholehearted in our prayers. We find a quiet place and look for God there. We fix our eyes and our thoughts on Him alone.  \nWe should not be thinking of other things we have todo. We should not be worrying about what might happen. We must think only of God. If we pray with our mouths while our “hearts and minds are far from Him,” God is not pleased (Isaiah 29:13-14) .  \nWe must keep our minds on the people and things weare praying for. It’s good to have a quiet place to pray so that we can concentrate. (Read Matthew 6:5 and 6.)  \nThirdly, when we pray we must believe that God will answer our prayers. Jesus said,“When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it and you shall have it”(Mark 11:24) . God wants to give us what is best for us. If we don’t really believe that, He may not answer our prayers. (Read Matthew 17:14-20; 21:22 and James 1:6-7 . )  \nGod is waiting to bless us! We miss many blessings because we don’t ask for them. (Read James 4:2b. ) And we don’t ask for them because we don’t really believe that He will give them to us.  \nPicture a waterfall. Clean, refreshing water is pouring down. Liters and liters of water, gallons of water. It keeps coming and keeps coming. That’s the way God’s blessings are. They keep on coming if we ask and if we really believe.  \nBelieving means having faith. If we have faith, we understand the greatness and goodness of God. We trust Him. We expect good things to happen. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that a person cannot please God unless he has faith.  \nWhen you pray, make a picture in your mind of what you’re asking for. Believe that God will give it to you. If you begin to doubt, push those thoughts of doubt away.
