It explains God’s forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice and encourages a changed life marked by love, patience, and deeper understanding. The text teaches daily Bible study—starting with John, moving through the Gospels, letters, and the Old Testament—along with prayer in quiet and everyday settings, and fellowship with other Christians for continued learning and support.","Literacy International: A Beautiful Journey: Growing In Christ \nCopyright © 2016 Literacy International [info@LiteracyInternational.net](info@LiteracyInternational.net) \nEnglish Spiritual \nLiteracy International: \nA Beautiful Journey: Growing In Christ \nCopyright © 2016 Literacy International [info@LiteracyInternational.net](info@LiteracyInternational.net) \nEnglish \nCopyright © 2016, Literacy International \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work. We see him take his first steps. If he falls down, it’s all right. If he spills his food, we don’t get angry. We know he’s doing the best he can. \nHe may try to talk but he just makes some sounds we can’t understand. That’s all right, too. We remember that he is just a baby. We don’t expect him to act like an adult. \nBut what if he is still falling down, and still spilling his food years later? What if he still isn’t talking clearly? Then something is wrong. Babies become children. And years later they become adults. They should learn to do more and more things well, as they grow older. \nChristians also need to learn and grow. When we first accept Jesus as our Savior, we may not know much about the Bible. We may not be very patient and loving. We may still have some bad habits. But we can’t stay that way. We need to change. \nWhen we become Christians, we ask God to forgive us for our sins. He does forgive us. Jesus did not sin at all. Yet He took on Himself the punishment for our sins. How? He died for us. So God covers our sin with the righteousness of Jesus. He looks on us as if we have no sin. \nBut we do not stop there. We are thankful for God’s love so we try to please Him. We want to know more about Jesus. We want to be like Jesus. We want to understand the things of God. \nHow can we do this? \nThree things are very important: Bible study \nPrayer \nJoining with other Christians. \nThe Bible is God’s special letter to His children. It is a love letter. \nReading the Bible is like eating food. The Bible is food for our spirits. Spend time reading it every day. It will make your spirit strong. \nIf you have not read much of the Bible before, start with the Gospel of John. That book shows very clearly Who Jesus is. Then read one or two of the other Gospels – Matthew, Mark and Luke. After that read some of the letters of Paul, such as Colossians and I Timothy. \nRead Genesis and Exodus in the Old Testament. They tell about how the world began. They show how God first spoke to people. Then read other parts, and other parts, until you have read the whole Bible. Every part has something to teach us. \nTake your time in reading. As you read a passage, think about what it means. Think about how you can make it part of your life. You might want to read a passage over andover again. That will help you remember what you read. It is better to do that than to read a whole lot at once, and not remember it. \nJesus sent us the Holy Spirit to be our teacher. When you read the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to show you the meaning. Ask Him to help you remember what is most important for you. If you still don’t understand something, ask your pastor or another Christian to help you. He or she may be able to give you a book that answers your questions. \nAs you study the Bible, you will see how wonderful God is. You will know what He expects of you. You will understand how He can help you in your life. \nIf you read the Bible every ","cbCaieO5QyGdznJj","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaieO5QyGdznJj","pdf",341790,1,19,"English","en",105,"# Growing In Christ\n## Changing after accepting Jesus\n## Bible study essentials\n## How to read the Bible\n## Prayer practices\n## Fellowship and spiritual teaching","[{\"question\":\"What does it mean to grow in Christ after becoming a Christian?\",\"answer\":\"It means changing over time—learning the Bible, becoming more patient and loving, and living as Jesus would as your faith matures.\"},{\"question\":\"How should readers study the Bible for best understanding?\",\"answer\":\"Read daily, take time with passages, think about their meaning, and start with the Gospel of John before moving to other Gospels, Paul’s letters, and the Old Testament.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the guide for prayer in this text?\",\"answer\":\"Pray often by talking to God, sharing concerns, praising and thanking Him, confessing sins, and asking for guidance and blessings for other people.\"}]",1784293922,48,{"code":4,"msg":30,"data":31},"ok",{"site_id":24,"language":23,"slug":32,"title":13,"keywords":33,"description":14,"schema_data":34,"social_meta":85,"head_meta":87,"extra_data":89,"updated_unix":27},"literacy-international-a-beautiful-journey-growing-in-christ","",{"@graph":35,"@context":84},[36,53,67],{"@type":37,"itemListElement":38},"BreadcrumbList",[39,43,47,50],{"item":40,"name":41,"@type":42,"position":20},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":44,"name":45,"@type":42,"position":46},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":48,"name":12,"@type":42,"position":49},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/religion-spirituality/",3,{"item":51,"name":13,"@type":42,"position":52},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/literacy-international-a-beautiful-journey-growing-in-christ/90471/",4,{"url":51,"name":13,"@type":54,"author":55,"headline":13,"publisher":57,"fileFormat":60,"inLanguage":23,"description":14,"dateModified":61,"datePublished":61,"encodingFormat":60,"isAccessibleForFree":62,"interactionStatistic":63},"DigitalDocument",{"name":9,"@type":56},"Person",{"url":40,"name":58,"@type":59},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-07-17",true,{"@type":64,"interactionType":65,"userInteractionCount":4},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":66},"ViewAction",{"@type":68,"mainEntity":69},"FAQPage",[70,76,80],{"name":71,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":73},"What does it mean to grow in Christ after becoming a Christian?","Question",{"text":74,"@type":75},"It means changing over time—learning the Bible, becoming more patient and loving, and living as Jesus would as your faith matures.","Answer",{"name":77,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":78},"How should readers study the Bible for best understanding?",{"text":79,"@type":75},"Read daily, take time with passages, think about their meaning, and start with the Gospel of John before moving to other Gospels, Paul’s letters, and the Old Testament.",{"name":81,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":82},"What is the guide for prayer in this text?",{"text":83,"@type":75},"Pray often by talking to God, sharing concerns, praising and thanking Him, confessing sins, and asking for guidance and blessings for other people.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":51,"og:type":86,"og:title":13,"og:site_name":58,"og:description":14},"article",{"robots":88,"canonical":51},"index,follow",{"doc_id":7,"site_id":24},{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":91},[92,96,100,104,109,114,119,124,127,130,134],{"id":20,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":93,"show_sort_weight":94,"slug":95},"Story & Novel",90,"story-novel",{"id":46,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":97,"show_sort_weight":98,"slug":99},"Literature",80,"literature",{"id":52,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":101,"show_sort_weight":102,"slug":103},"Exam",70,"exam",{"id":105,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":106,"show_sort_weight":107,"slug":108},5,"Comic",60,"comic",{"id":110,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":111,"show_sort_weight":112,"slug":113},6,"Technology",50,"technology",{"id":115,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":116,"show_sort_weight":117,"slug":118},7,"Healthcare",40,"healthcare",{"id":120,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":121,"show_sort_weight":122,"slug":123},8,"Research & Report",30,"research-report",{"id":11,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":12,"show_sort_weight":125,"slug":126},20,"religion-spirituality",{"id":125,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":128,"show_sort_weight":125,"slug":129},"World Cup","world-cup",{"id":131,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":132,"show_sort_weight":131,"slug":133},10,"Lifestyle","lifestyle",{"id":21,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":135,"show_sort_weight":105,"slug":136},"General","general"]
