What will be covered in the test?  \nThis test will cover UK’s history, culture, tradition, structures and ways of life. All questions in the test are based on the official handbook for the Life in the UK Test, produced by the Home Office. How many questions does the test have and how long does it last?  \nYou will need to answer 24 questions in 45 minutes and the passing rate is 75% . For each test, 24 questions are chosen at random from a bank of 400 so each candidate has a unique set of questions.  \n3. Exemption  \nMost people applying for Indefinite leave to Remain or citizenship will need to take the test. However, you are exempt from the test if:  \n- You’re under 18  \n- You’re over 65  \n- You have a long-term physical or mental condition. A form or letter from a doctor must be provided to confirmed your condition.  \n“My daughter is 17 years old and we will apply for settlement after 2 years, at the time when she is 19 years old, is my daughter still exempt from the test?”  \nNo – the daughter will not be exempt from the test. She needs to be under 18 at the time of the application being made in order to be exempt from the test. Same applies to applicants who are over 65.  \n4. How will the test be conducted?  \nYou will complete the test on a computer provided by the test centre. Therefore, you will need to have basic computer skills to complete it.  \n5. What types of questions are in the test?  \nAll questions in the test are multiple-choice. There will be 4 different types of questions during the test:  \n1. Select 1 correct answer from 4 options  \n2. Select 2 correct answers from 4 options  \n3. Decide whether a statement is True or False  \n4. Choose the correct statement from 2 options  \n6. When should I take the test?  \nYou can take the test at anytime before your citizenship application. You will only need to book the test at least 3 days in advance.  \n7.
