We’ve done more than simply revamp the look of our former Unimagazin; we also want the magazine’s content to clearly communicate our research and our mission as Leibniz University Hannover to a broader audience. We present science as expertise – expertise that has an impact; that solves problems, explaining and contextualising them to open up options; and that takes on responsibility instead of remaining in the proverbial ivory tower. \nWe want this magazine to give you an understanding of what the researchers at Leibniz University Hannover are accomplishing, the questions they are asking, and the approaches they are taking to address the urgent challenges of our time – from climate change and education to the digital transformation and the pressures on our healthcare system. \nLUH boasts outstanding expertise in these and many other fields. Our Clusters of Excellence, which conduct cutting-edge research to identify solutions to pressing societal issues, are a good example of this. \nThe magazine focuses on projects from six Future Labs that we are establishing at LUH to conduct impact-oriented research and teaching development. These labs will aim to make a visible and measurable contribution to solving societal, economic, ecological and political problems: How can our cities remain habitable despite climate change? How can AI be used to diagnose illnesses? How can technology and production be taken to a new level? How can the vision of a green power plant in the North Sea contribute","cbCaipUXqBRlK4RI","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipUXqBRlK4RI","pdf",9657461,56,"English","# Science Highlights\n## Facts and figures\n## News\n## LUH's Clusters of Excellence\n# Science Focus\n## In conversation with Prof. Dr. Henning Laux\n## Wind power for the energy transition\n## Semantic models for medicine\n## Entirely oxygen-free production\n## When AI helps with watering\n## Intelligent implants\n## EmParti","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of Leibniz Science 2026?\",\"answer\":\"The magazine communicates Leibniz University Hannover’s research and mission to a broader audience, presenting science as expertise that solves problems and creates impact.\"},{\"question\":\"Which research areas and societal challenges does the magazine cover?\",\"answer\":\"It focuses on impact-oriented research addressing challenges such as climate change, education, digital transformation, and pressures on the healthcare system.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the Future Labs mentioned in the issue?\",\"answer\":\"They are six Future Labs established at LUH to conduct impact-oriented research and teaching development, aiming at visible and measurable contributions to societal, economic, ecological, and political problems.\"}]","Leibniz Science 2026 - Science Highlights - Impact-oriented research | PDF",1792700162,141]
