They handle visa stamping, biometrics, and registration. \no There are 114 immigration check posts (ICPs) across air, sea, land, rail and river routes, catering to international traffic. \no At present, there are 37 ICPs at seaports. E-visa holders are allowed to enter India only through the 32 designated airports and 33 seaports. \no e-Visa is an electronic travel authorization (ETA) applied online for foreign nationals visiting for tourism; it simplifies entry without embassy visits. \nSustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) \nAmid the West Asia conflict, the government has amended aviation turbine fuel regulations to allow blending of sustainable aviation fuel with aviation turbine fuel. \no SAF is a bio-based or synthetic aviation fuel that can replace conventional fossil jet fuel with lower lifecycle carbon emissions. It is a drop-in fuel, meaning it can be blended with regular aviation turbine fuel (ATF) without modifying aircraft engines. \no Formation: Produced from biomass feedstocks such as agricultural residues, municipal solid waste, used cooking oil, algae, and forestry waste. Also synthesized using Power-to-Liquid (PtL) methods from green hydrogen + captured CO₂. \no Initiatives in India: \no National Bio-Energy Mission and Ethanol Blending Programme indirectly support SAF ecosystem. \no Global Biofuels Alliance (launched by India, 2023 G20 Summit) aims to promote biofuels, including SAF.) \nViolation of MCC \nMore than 700 activists allege violation of MCC in the Prime Minister’s address, citing lack of equal media time for other parties. \no A violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) occurs when political parties, candidates, or governments breach Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines during elections. \no General Conduct Violations: \no Personal attacks or unverified allegations instead of policy criticism. \no Appeals to caste, religion, race, or communal sentiments. \no Bribery, intimidation, or voter impersonation. \no Meetings and Processions: \no Not informing police about events. \no clashes/disturbances, or burning rival effigies. \no Polling Day/Booth Rules: \no Campaigning during the 48-hour silence period. \no Gathering or canvassing near polling stations. \no Party symbols worn inside booths. \no Government and Party in Power: \no Using official machinery for campaigning. \no Announcing schemes or grants during elections. \no Government ads or official transfers without approval. \no Manifestos and Media: \no Vote-buying promises in manifestos. \no Paid news or media misuse for propaganda. \no Consequences: \no MCC lacks legal force; ECI enforces it through warnings, notices, temporary bans, and complaints against repeat offenders. \no Related offences under IPC/BNS or RPA 1951 can lead to FIRs, disqualification, or imprisonment. \no The Model Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines issued by the Election Commission to regulate political parties and candidates prior to elections, to ensure free and fair elections. It is not legally enforceable. \no Operational: From the date that the election schedule is announced till the date that results are announced. \n23 April 2026 \n\n| 1.
