They were good friends of Jesus.  \nOne day the two sisters sent someone with an important message for Jesus, saying,“Lord, the one you love is sick.”  \nBut Jesus said,“Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for God’s glory so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.”  \nSo Jesus waited two more days. Then he said to the disciples,“Let us go back to Judea.”  \nThe disciples said,“Not long ago the Jews there tried to stone you. Why do you want to go back there now?”  \nSo Jesus told them plainly,“Lazarus is dead. And for your sake I am glad I was not there, because now you will really believe.
