(Those in bold are included.) \nChapter 466, Florida Statutes, is the law which governs the practice of dentistry in the State of Florida. In addition to the law, the Board promulgates rules to further define the mandate of the law. \nChapter 64B5 (formerly 59Q), Florida Administrative Code, includes the rules promulgated by the Board of Dentistry. The Board is required by law to promulgate certain rules to implement specific mandates with Florida Statutes, Chapters 466, 455, and 120, and the Board has specific authority to promulgate other rules within these statutes so long as the rules are not inconsistent with the laws. \nChapter 456, Florida Statutes, is the law that governs the Department of Health. Within Chapter 456, the Department’s and the Board’s scopes interrelate and intertwine and the Board must/may promulgate rules in order for the Department to carry pit the mandate of the law. \nChapter 120, Florida Statutes, is the Administrative Procedures Act. The purpose of the act is to ensure that the general public has access to information regarding the functions and duties of administrative bodies, e.g. Board of Dentistry and Department of Health, whose actions may affect the interests of private citizens. \nUnder Chapter 120, The Administration Commission (the Governor and Cabinet) has adopted model rules (Chapter 28) by which agencies are required to abide when dealing with rulemaking and hearing procedures to the extent that each agency does not adopt a specific rule of procedure covering the subject matter material contained in the model rules applicable to that agency. \nComplaints against a licensee (850) 245-4339 \nAddress for Board of Dentistry: Department of Health \nBoard of Dentistry \n4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin C-04 \nTallahassee, FL 32399 Telephone: (850) 245-4474 \nFacsimile: (850) 921-5389 \nEmail: [info@floridasdentistry.gov](info@floridasdentistry.gov) \n[Website: ](Website: www.floridasdentistry.gov)[www.floridasdentistry.gov](Website: www.floridasdentistry.gov) \nCHAPTER 466 \nDENTISTRY, DENTAL HYGIENE, AND DENTAL LABORATORIES \n466.001 Legislative purpose and intent. \n466.002 Persons exempt from operation of chapter. \n466.003 Definitions. \n466.004 Board of Dentistry. \n466.005 Expert witness certificate. \n466.006 Examination of dentists. \n466.0065 Regional licensure examinations. \n466.0067 Application for health access dental license. \n466.00671 Renewal of the health access dental license. \n466.00672 Revocation of health access dental license. \n466.00673 Repeal of a health access dental license. \n466.007 Examination of dental hygienists. \n466.0075 Applicants for examination; medical malpractice insurance. \n466.008 Certification of foreign educational institutions. \n466.009 Reexamination. \n466.011 Licensure. \n466.013 Renewal of license. \n466.0135 Continuing education; dentists. \n466.014 Continuing education; dental hygienists. \n466.015 Inactive status. \n466.016 License to be displayed. \n466.017 Prescription","cbCaisd4zmev49ch","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaisd4zmev49ch","pdf",1334833,151,"English","# Introduction\n# Chapter 466, Florida Statutes\n## Rule 64B5, Florida Administrative Code\n## Rule 64B27, Florida Administrative Code","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of the booklet for Florida dentistry regulations?\",\"answer\":\"To assemble and/or identify in one place the Florida laws and rules that the Board of Dentistry, the Department of Health, and licensed dentists and dental hygienists must follow.
