number  \n24 litre and Diesel  \n## CAPACITIES\n\nAl1 capacities are quoted in Imperial and Metricmeasure;to ascertain the U.S.equivalent,multiply the Imperial figure by 1.2.  \nThe full vehicle serial number must bequoted in all correspondence;the registrationnumber of the vehicle is of no use whatever tous.  \nThe engine serial number,which need not bequoted in correspondence unless specificallyasked for,is stamped on the left-hand side of thecylinder block at the front.  \n## MEASUREMENTS\n\nAll measurements are given in Imperial measure;the Metric equivalent is added where possible,but in certain cases,such as cylinder rebore sizes,this is of course not practicable,and the Imperialfigure must be used.  \nOther units bear serial numbers as detailed below,but they should not be quoted unless specificallyrequested:—  \nGearbox number:Right-hand side of gearboxcasing.  \n## VEHICLE SERIAL NUMBERS\n\nThe vehicle serial number will be found on thetransfer box instruction
