candidates nationwidesitting for the Sijil PelajaranMalaysia(SPM),students fromSMK Bukit Jelutong were facingthe biggest test of their lives,hav-ing never sat for the now-abol-ished Ujian Pencapaian SekolahRendah and PentaksiranTingkatan Tiga.  \nBut at this school,the candi-dates had a support system likeno other.  \nAs students entered the schoolcompound for their examina-tions,they were greeted by thescent of freshly baked muffins,curry puffs,sausage bunsdoughnuts and drinks.The foodand refreshments were handedout by parents who make up theParent Support Group,known asKSIB.  \n\"Every exam day,while stu-dents focused on their papers,another kind of preparation un-folded in the canteen,”KSIB MealPlan volunteer Lt Col(Rtd)AzmyYahaya told the New StraitsTimes.  \nOn some days,students weretreated to chicken rice with veg-etables and fruit.On others,theyenjoyed Western-style meals suchas chicken chops or sandwiches.  \n\"To the students,it may looklike just lunch,but for parents,each boxcarried asilent message:\"You are precious,and we arewith you',\"he said.  \nAzmy added that the mealswere prepared with care,takinginto account students'allergies,  \nmedical conditions and culturalor religious dietary require-ments.  \nThe group also set up a small“pit stop”where students couldgrab snacks,water and fruits,aswell as a corner stocked with sta-tionery for those who had for-gotten their supplies.  \nBeyond food and essentials,thevolunteers also offered encour-agement and emotional support,sometimes dressing up accordingto the exam subject of the day.  \n“On the day of the history ex-amination,for example,volun-teers came in colourful tradition-al attire,turning the canteen intoa living 'museum’of heritage,\"said Azmy.  \nHe said KSIB believed educa-tion was a shared journey,built asmuch on relationships as on text-books.  \n\"When adults stand togetherfor children,a school feels lesslike a building filled with examsand more like a home
