One day he hunted all day long and did not catch any prey.  \nWu fwɨŋ nanə wu jeŋ wu yəŋ muntulu mumbə wu ndzɨ mu fəkpɨ fəkpɨ .  \nFinally, he found some ants and started to eat them . He ate ants until his stomach was full.  \nLə mu kaa kɨndoŋ kɨ juu mwo tə wuŋnɨ wu, wu bo jeŋ kɨmɨ juu .  \nAfter eating all the ants the lizard was thirsty so he went to the stream to get a drink.  \nLə wu muu, wu wuu nə ̊uŋ kuŋ, wu mɛnə wu yəŋ ŋgvʉfɨ tuu kɨndzɨ wu .  \nSuddenly he heard a noise . He looked up and saw the hyena coming. He thought,“What can Ido so the hyena will not take me for his prey?”  \nWu kwashə ̊uŋ fì wu nə́ fə ndzɨŋgvʉfɨ kə ndzɨ wu . Wu mwojwə kɨntsoko kee kɨ bɨgvʉ kɨ nogo tə tsokɨ bɨgvʉ wu .  \nThe lizard had an idea .
