One day, someone told David,“The Philistines are attacking the nearby town called Keilah and are stealing grain.”  \nBackground info.; 1 Samuel 22:1; 23:1  \nDavid asked the Lord,“Should my men and I attack the Philistines?”  \nThe Lord replied,“Yes. I will help you conquer the Philistines.”  \n1 Samuel 23:2-4  \nSo David and his men went to Keilah. They attacked the Philistines and defeated them. And they rescued the people who lived there.  \n1 Samuel 23:5  \nKing Saul heard that David was in Keilah, and said,“Good! David is trapped in a walled town. God is giving David to me!” So Saul led his army to Keilah to capture David.  \n1 Samuel 23:7-8  \nWhen David learned about the king’s plan, he prayed,“Lord, God of Israel, I know Saul plans to destroy Keilah because I am here.
