He followed all the laws that God gave to Moses.  \nKing Hezekiah ordered all the idols in Judah tobe destroyed. The sacred stones were smashed, the Asherah poles were cut down, altars on the high places were removed.  \nHowever, the people of the northern kingdom of Israel worshiped idols of other nations instead of worshiping the Lord. To punish Israel, God allowed the armies of Assyria to destroy Israel.  \nAfter conquering Israel, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, started to conquer the cities of defense in the north end of the nation of Judah.  \nAt first, Hezekiah wrote to Sennacherib,“If you leave my country alone, I will pay you whatever you want.”  \nIn order to pay the money that Sennacherib demanded, King Hezekiah took all
