It explains how Wyldefree residents live across coastal and forest territories, why fewer Kindred are encountered farther from the coasts, and how cold and darkness influence settlements and newcomers. It has grown a sinister and forbidding reputation as a place few would dare to tread, where Magic is wild and numerous dangers lurk in waiting for intruders rash enough to brave its shadows. Only the Faegreen Court of Azuria inspires the same dread among common Kindred. \nMost who live in the Wyldefree do so on the rainy coasts ofthe Stillblack Sea and on the great forest’s margins, in the Forge City of Nocturne and small villages where Beastfolk, Demons, Gargoyles and Elves all mingle freely. The Wyldefree is cooled all Year by the Chillwind Plateau’s draft, so farmers can only grow and harvest their crops in the Month of Summer. To the far north and west lies Blink’s Overpass, a great rail bridge that connects the northern Trans-Camborian Railway with its southern half through the Warmfields. The Shadowed Strait under the Overpass \nflows from the Stillblack into the South Arterial Seas. \nThe further one travels from the coasts ofthe Wyldefree, the fewer Kindred they will encounter. No one truly knows why this is so as the tall forests are unspoiled and lush with life despite the cold, and many Kindred can still see in its dimmer light. Indeed, there are other lands in Camboria that are just as dangerous if not much moreso, yet contain \nfar more Kindred than this region does. \nThe remote tribes of Kindred who do choose to live under the boughs ofthe Wyldefree’s giant trees find the cold and darkness a familiar and inviting friend, and would not trade it for easier lives. Most can no longer trace their lineages \nback to ancestors who walked in Helia’s light, and many new arrivals from the Wyldefree Gate are content with \nnever leaving. \nWe of the Fae know that Kindred not born of the deep Woods often feel disturbed and unwelcomed by these places, or that someone is always watching them. Weare, but it’snot personal :) But even a forest Pyxie and servant of Canaepi such as I feels just as unnerved by the Wyldefree’s inner reaches save for its few places of sanctuary. Being challenged to stay here for an entire Summer of observation was a great task, but one that still yielded far more kinship than I imagined \nit would! These are the experiences I will now share with you. :) \n~|~ \nThe rings or layers of the Wyldefree. The Poisonglade is marked in brown. Wyldefree Gate is marked in blue. \nWhen studying the tribes of the Wyldefree, it helps to look at their territories as you would the rings of a tree. There are no States or Counties with fixed boundaries and armies to defend their claims, or even the ancestral bonds to the land that Six Nations Beastfolk have. Wyldefree Kindred are free to roam but do not leave the comfort of their ring unless it is necessary to, and the oldest beings live closest to the forests’ center. If there are any forces imposed on \nthem, it is from within and not without. \nThe Wyldefree’s Ley is old and flows very slowly, remaining in the soil and water longer than it normally would. But it seldom pools into Nexuses, as the energies are drawn into all Life and feed the growth of huge trees that blot out the Sky. The Ley has greatly altered the bodies of many Kindred who live here, changing their appearance, nature and diet. Even the wild beasts have grown to enormous sizes rarely seen in other forests. The Magic running through these lands is untamed, and only Fae have any success with casting Spells reliably. \nHoblins are found throughout the wetter regions of Camboria in great numbers, so maybe it is no surprise they are some of the most plentiful Kindred in the first ring, always living within the youngest growth. The small Greenskins along with even smaller Flooftails hunt and gather during the day, and retreat to their dwellings built above the forest floo","cbCaih87n0S9LsRD","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaih87n0S9LsRD","pdf",692934,"English","# Wyldefree Woods and its reputation\n## Terrence, coasts, and travel routes\n## Ring-like territories and Ley magic\n## Major tribes and daily life","[{\"question\":\"What makes the Wyldefree Woods different from other dangerous regions in Camboria?\",\"answer\":\"The Wyldefree is known for wild Magic and the fact that fewer Kindred are encountered as you travel farther from its coasts, despite the forests remaining lush and unspoiled.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the Ley in the Wyldefree affect the land and its residents?\",\"answer\":\"The Ley flows very slowly and remains in soil and water longer than usual, seldom pooling into Nexuses, while drawing energy into life that feeds huge tree growth.
