He ate ants until his stomach was full.  \nNo Kiluŋ gɛ̀ ji bigoŋo biɛ bichii, kindoŋ ki joo ta ki, ki ja ki bo ajoo lɛ ki gɛɛŋ ki mu joo.  \nAfter eating all the ants the lizard was thirsty so he went to the stream to get a drink.  \nNo Kiluŋ gɛ̀ muu joo, ki ja ki yu ̊ɛɛ kuŋ, lɛ ki jiŋe ki yɛŋ Ŋgvufe too a kijiŋ . Kiluŋ mo ki kwajɛ ̊ɛɛ ̊ ki le ki ge lɛ keefɛŊgvufeji ki gɛ .  \nSuddenly he heard a noise. He looked up and saw the hyena coming. He thought,“What can I do so the hyena will not take me for his prey?”  \nKiluŋ ja ki kɛme ntaŋ wu ̊ɛɛ ̊ ki le ki ge. Ki mo ki jo ̊ntede ̊ kuge, ki kɛ ki sɛɛme bige yu.  \nThe lizard had an idea.
